I took my daughter to see 'Saving Private Dobbin' at the weekend. Like most of Spielberg's films, it was entertaining enough at the time but one feels slightly manipulated at the end of it. Richard Curtis didn't help - I can't abide anything he's written since 'Blackadder'. I wonder what country Curtis sets all his scripts in? It looks jolly pleasant, wherever it is. At least Huge Grunt wasn't in it.
