Guild is and has been a sort of benchmark. Very tough, great sound, etc. There are better 12's although a Guild owner would never admit it but unless you go upscale a lot, you get less. On the other hand, you can still go less and have a nice instrument you enjoy.   

Twelves today are far more solid than they used to be.
