So that material has a better chance of survival (it only takes one disgruntled webmaster to shut down a site containing valuable material), I have taken the liberty of transcribing the material about the Manchester Ship Canal (spread across three issues of The Northwest Federation of Folk Clubs Newsletter - 1978) and an article about Coal Bargees (from Tamlyn Folk Magazine - 1975) and included them in a new 'Documents' section of the Songs of the Inland Waterways website here :
