A highly regarded exponent of American old-time country music, Kate is a champion fiddler, an expert clawhammer and old-time three-finger banjo picker, a guitarist, and an excellent singer.


Feb 09th * £7.00 * STEVE TURNER

A very talented concertina-player and a superb singer, Steve is also a remarkable exponent of the mandola. He is amongst most exciting performers on the folk scene.


Feb 16th * £7.00 * JEFF DAVIS

A rare & short tour by Jeff who is equally adept on fiddle, banjo, mandocello & guitar Jeff is one of America's most respected collectors and interpreters of traditional music


Feb 23rd * £8.00 * DAVE SWARBRICK

The iconic fiddle player has already named his retirement date so this will probably be the last chance to hear a solo performance at the Royal Oak where he has delighted before.


Mar 01st * £7.00 * CHRIS BARTRAM, NEIL BROOKES & TONY WEATHERALL

English traditional song & dance music at its finest. Neil's fiddle and Tony's melodeon generate real excitement and Chris's singing is wonderfully easy on the ear.

Two remarkable singers who draw their repertoire from songs learned from British traditional singers and from early American country music with some lovely accompaniments from Simon's guitar.
