I worked in the Library & Information area of an Australian Govt. agency & once received an email from an American research organisation asking for information about - well, they said Australia, but it was really Austrian information they needed.

When I wrote back suggesting she tried the equivalent agency in Austria
I received back a friendly reply thanking me & saying to contact her if ever I needed any information from them!
