The money will benefit millions of people in Canada, although I will admit that the benefit is mostly to Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Our businesses and housing market survived the disaster in the States and much of Europe thanks to proper banking policies and strong employment largely due to the petroleum industry. The cranes are "flying" in Calgary as more towers are added to fill the demand.
The pipeline can be built with safeguards. It will be built.
