The pipeline supporters are trying to get approval of a line that goes to Montana and possibly Idaho. Seems that once here in the US, the oil can be piped to other locations without federal interference.

If Obama is re-elected, the Canadian pipeline may not even be apprioved until he leaves office in January 2017.
