Harper has the full support of the majority of Albertans. Conservatives hold 72 0f 83 seats in the provincial legislature, and 67 percent of Albertans supported Conservative candidates for the Canadian Parliament. Saskatchewan and Manitoba also gave majority support to the Conservatives, and almost half 46 percent of B. C. voters also voted to support the Conservative party (NDP managed 33 %).

There is a split between east and west in Canada, the west supporting the Conservative values that support their lives.

Remarks by gnu and his ilk denigrating Harper are considered detestable by most western Canadians.
