I saw John Denver, Billy Joel and others at the Cellar Door. And the Gents with Ralph Stanley and 2 puppies - Ricky Skaggs and Keith Whitley - at the Shamrock. Charlie Waller let me play his guitar. What really impressed me was the fact that the musicians would walk among the audience during their breaks and hawk their albums. Those were the days!
