All our license renewing here (in Michigan) for the last few years has been a couple of minutes each time on the 'puter. Would that everything in life was as difficult.

The sneakers I've been wearing came with 52" shoelaces; just enough too much to keep me snagging them and having to retie. I measured up and figured 40" would be about right. Went around town and found no 40" sport laces to be had. Tried online. The first couple of sites I tried, you could get 40" in neon orange or purple, but not white. The next site sold only a bag of a hundred. The next site had what I wanted. When I got to the last stage of the order, the shipping and handling cost of eleven bucks appeared. The next site, the shipping and handling would only have been eight bucks. I bought 45" the next time at the store; at least it's a marked improvement.
