Correction: almost nothing but offensive actions since the end of WWII. I will concede that in the case of the Korean War, the USA was engaged in legitimate defense of South Korea against a North Korean invasion. Other than that, forget it. All of the other American imperial wars and occupations since then have been offensive in nature, not defensive, in my opinion.
