So the pastor announces that on Shrove Tuesday we are having a pancake supper (prob. for about 12 people), and the pastor's partner, who is undergoing chemo, asks for help with the supper. So of course I say yes.

THEN they tell me that somebody else has first dibs on the kitchen. How are we supposed to mix, cook and clean up pancakes with no kitchen?

I proposed bringing a pot of chicken gumbo instead, but of course we can't do that. That would be too logical.

My question is, has anybody ever made some kind of casserole or layered dish that involves pancakes? What goes in there to keep them nice?
