I've been helping with a Cub-scout song circle loosely based on the Middle Ages.

Many of the older folksongs are a little complex for the age group and I am now leaning toward Songs about travel in the past.

The theory is that if I can populate their imagination with Ships, Horses, Carriages & the 'things' of the past they'll have more to work with if they learn the history later.

I thought I'd appeal to my favourite Folk Think Tank for brainstorming and suggestions about material.
