Do apprise us of the actual words of this complimenting traffic constable. Was it your classically-correct grip of the wheel or your nifty gear-changing? Did he praise your efforts in spite of the obvious distraction of your furry dice? Was it your skilful and deft way with the windscreen wiper knob? Educate me, Dick, educate me!

By the way, I note that this heap of praise was visited on you just the day after the terrible accident, and even so soon after the event you knew exactly what the cause was.
