This is the latest news from Dan which appeared on Facebook this evening.

An update for my FB friends. Tandy and I are settled into a house right next door to our friends Kathe Brinkmann and her son Daniel. Our house will be totally gutted and rebuilt on the inside - renovation should take from 4 to 6 months. I've lost about half or more of my collection of books but won't know which titles for several weeks. We are tired all the time - meeting with contractors, meeting insurance adjusters and going over list after list of things to be done, things that are gone or things that need our attention. I still expect Maeve to come running around the corner to greet me every time I come home.

So don't throw out any of your old books for the time being and carry on sending big hugs!
