We in DC area are getting thunder & rain right now...
we seldom get really dangerous stuff, for various reasons.

Back when I lived in Wichita, there was some sort of mantra that "tornadoes never hit in the city limits"... as far as I know, they never have....but wow, I saw what they did right near us!
