We were on the direct line of the storm that hit southern Indiana and I was happy to see it blew itself out before it got here! Lots of wind and rain but the tornado risk had dropped off.
I cannot imagine what the people in Maryville, Indiana are going through. The little village of about the same size as mine is completely destroyed. People lost everything including family members all over the large swath of the storms. The sheer size of the extreme and high risk area was unbelievable. On the plus side, with today's communications and technology, I'm sure many people owe their lives to the early and extensive warning.
My heart goes out to all of those affected. Their lives are changed forever..................
