Well, Sandyriver, I apologize that I don't have time right now to transcribe it but I think that a great version of the song you're after is on a CD called "Andy Griffith Sings Favorite Old Time Songs" On the CD it is entitled "Flop-Eared Mule" But it is definately a version of the old classic.
