Okay here in Kansas City, although the weather has been very strange. For example, last week Thursday it was 68F and Friday morning it was snowing. I believe it was Thursday night that the weather radio was sounding the alarm for a thunderstorm with 60 mph winds. Our cat listened fearfully to the whooshing of the wind through the power lines and just wanted to be held. (When we hear a prediction like that, we keep alert for tornado sirens and for the sound of a tornado, sirens or not.)
When we get changes in temperature that great, we know that somewhere there will be trouble. The mixing of such different air masses implies the transfer of terrific amounts of energy.
I'm not aware of any catters from the affected areas - Harveyville, KS, Kentucky towns, Illinois towns and Indiana towns.
The music center of Branson, Missouri had a tornado which damaged theatres, hurting employment and income for many, though there were no deaths or even serious injuries. Nonetheless it makes a difference to many lives.
