Thread Name: Tech: A Malware Glossary
Subject: Tech: A Malware Glossary
PC Magazine's Neil Rubenking has posted a handy little glossary of malware related terms that is worth at least a quick look.

See it at Know Your Malware

The list is only about two pages long, but a little long to be posted here.

There's no particular lesson plan here, but if you're not at least vaguely familiar with ALL OF THE TERMS shown, you should make a note that you're not really keeping up with things, and you probably should get some help. For most here, a quick look will be just a matter of reassuring you that you're not completely "out of the loop."

There are two options for those who are missing something:

1. You can try to study up and get more aware.

2. You can try to get advice from knowledgeable and reliable providers of anti-malware programs, and get a system you can trust on your machine - and keep it up to date.

Most who are up to speed already do both.

Note that the glossary is Universal, and applies equally to Windows, Macs, Linux, and all kinds of phones, tablets, notebooks, netbooks, and other toys.
