Worth an early mention that Nic is to be awarded a Gold Medal or Badge(no less) by the English Folk Dance & Song Society on 22nd September next at Cecil Sharp House in London and I think all will be welcome( of course you have to buy a ticket) and so please ask your friends to attend Very early days but a concert is envisaged with Items including a short film, (which is the promo for a l-hr documentary Nic & his music, which is a work in progress); the citation and presentation of the Gold Badge; interspersed with musical interludes by famous names from his folk music past etc. I will be allowed to sell ice creams in the interval I suspect. Joking apart should be a goodie so as they say watch this space!!!Look out Dom I could sing!!!
Meanwhile does anyone remember the visit of American blues legend, Spider John Koerner to Chelmsford, he of Blues Rags & Hollers fame - he had extremely large feet and boots that fitted and played a 7 string National Guitar( 2 bottom Es) and was his own foot stompin rythm section and did a great version of Good time Charlie's Back in Town Again- he has a few youtubes and is still doing it . Finally has anyone any news of the Talismen?
Dave.
