Great to hear about the planned Cecil Sharp House Concert as I'd love to attend if there are tickets. Keep us informed Dave. Also be good to see you singing or selling ice creams, perhaps both at the same time if you can multi-task.
I remember Spider John at Chelmsford, mainly for the size of his feet as you mentioned, but also his very fluid and free style of playing. A very good night at the club. Lucky to have seen him then as I seem to remember that he is now not allowed entry into the UK
for some reason.
Funnily enough I was going to ask you and Nigel about what became of the Talismen. I dont remember them that well, but a couple of songs spring to mind " Dark as a Dungeon" and " Slightly Faded " . Also was it one of the group that had a pre-war Gibson guitar, looked like something out of a skip but sounded absolutely fantastic.
Was there also another group that did the residency at Chelmsford around that time?
Anyway all the best
Dom
