Why has there been no protest on this forum about the unspeakable treatment of the innocent [until proved guilty, according to both our {UK} & their {US} systems of law, whatever may ultimately turn out to be the facts of the case] Christopher Tappin?

How could our government have been so pusillanimous as to let the US government misuse a lopsided extradition agreement, to which they should never have agree in the first place, against one of our citizens in such a fashion? How can any agency of the Land Of The Free [Ha! that's a good one in cases like this, eh?] have misused its powers in such a fashion ~~ is nobody over there concerned about such a disgusting state of affairs?

For god's sake, somebody say something ~~ and even more, DO something. Our Foreign Secretary appears powerless; her spokespeople flap their hands and say there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can "readily" do about the matter ["readily"!!??]

Does nobody round here but me care?
