First time I recall seeing folk singer Anne Murray was in a PEI bar. She had recorded "snowbird" and had returned to PEI (where she once was a teacher in a local high school) to perform, as a favour to a local bar owner, (who helped her in her career). After the bar closed, still thirsty, we went to an "after hours bar" (aka bootlegger) operated by the bar owner's brother.
