That's pretty much the kind of decline I was bemoaning in my song "Cuthbert Country". Truly, 'tis sad, the banal depths to which these hallowed halls have sunk! If 'twere not for the heroic verses of poetry which occasionally peep through the enveloping clouds of dross that hang heavy about us, would there be any hope at all?
