Just got off the phone with Tom. He DID finally get into a room last night -- 230B at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.

I'm navigating on less than optimal sleep, probably less than 5 hours' worth. Just talked to him a few minutes ago. He slept until 4 when he woke up in pain -- didn't get pain meds until just a little while ago (7-ish) and they haven't totally kicked in yet.

Looks like Dr. Blitzer who did my arm surgery has been engaged to fix his ankle this afternoon. Two breaks, one long one, so Tom will have hardware in his appendage similar to what I have in my arm.

That's it for now -- not sure when I'm heading over there. Got stuff to do here at home, first.
