I've been cooking from scratch a lot since the new year, as we both quit processed foods and returned to a veggie diet (albeit not strict as we're not ruling out the occasional eating of meat, just not doing it at present) and today I picked up some mozzarella balls so we could have a homemade margherita this weekend which I haven't done for ages.

Anyway, thought I'd look up threads on pizza here on the Mudcat to see what other ideas I might find. So far I'm liking these ideas posted a few years ago:

"Garlic, spinach, toasted walnuts and goat cheese on a whole wheat crust:" (Desdemona)

"blue cheese, celery, and chicken breast, with a liberal dash of hot sauce." (MMario) - though I'll have to swap the chicken breast for something else, blue cheese with celery sounds great.

"Ricotta mixed with pesto .. and sun dried tomatoes and roasted red peppers for on top" (openmike)
