I think you're right, Mary. Good quality fats, olive oil, fish, etc. I began to be aware of where my kidneys were - an ache that was my body telling me that what I was eating was piling up. So I'm drinking a lot of water, eating more fruits and veggies, smaller protein amounts during the day. I had a fruit and yogurt smoothie for breakfast (banana, a big handful of frozen strawberries and about 8 oz of yogurt). Lots of carbs in bananas, but healthier than wheat flour products, etc. Lunch was out with a friend (I moved her large potted tree thing from the office to her apartment - she retired a couple of months ago and this plant was waiting for a good time for us to move it for her). Mexican food - chile relleno, refried beans. Tonight I'll have a salad, some sauteed zucchini, and a small portion of salmon. And I'll be getting a lot more exercise now that spring is here.
