Tom's been asleep both times I've called this morning. I DID talk to his nurse and he's probably better today than yesterday, but she came on shift just before I called him the first time, so I don't know how much she's interacted with him.

Been catching up on the phone with a couple friends -- R&R while sitting in bed with a cup of Earl Grey and a cat (who wanted to eat my pen). I've got a couple more things to do here at home, then a few errands on my way to Dover, so I'm not sure what time I'll get to the hospital.

Maybe I can talk to the social worker today and find out what the plans are for rehab. I'm also trying to get a printout of an ankle x-ray showing the hardware in his ankle which I only saw in passing when I talked to Dr. Blitzer just after the surgery.
