Talked to Tom -- he's having some foot pain mostly from his toenails, but that may get alleviated soon. (Neither he nor I can cut them.)

I'd been sipping Earl Grey and typing up Tom's notes from yesterday for "The Charles Street Chronicles" -- Tom's folkie adventures in Boston in the '60s, when I googled David Omar White for some more details (he hung out in some of the same places Tom did -- Haskell's, the Sevens, the Turk's Head where Tom was general manager/cook and performer, of course). Really got sidetracked there -- the artist died in 2009. Sounds like a fascinating guy.

Not sure when I'm going to get to the hospital. Hope they get him in another room today and maybe we can find out when (and where) he'll be going into rehab.

Life is still pretty much up in the air.
