For the past 6 months I've been using my HP mini laptop - 10 inch screen, fullsize keyboard, wireless capable. For me, it's a business machine and we are going to buy an antenna which will give it cell phone capability, as well as a card swiper for direct deposit and verification of credit cards. Screen is backlit. Real [as opposed to flash] hard drive with 120 GB capability. [They are available with more]. The battery is the double sized one, which also positions the keyboard ergonomically. I generally get about 6 hours of continuous, heavy use before I have to seek a power plug. It goes everywhere with me, in part because it weighs so little.
