If you look at them now, you have to wonder how three such singularly unattractive and weird little men managed to build a lengthy and lucrative career for themselves in the entertainment business. It worked fine then, but I doubt that it would nowadays. One really striking thing about them was how short they were...not quite as short as Danny De Vito, but pretty near. I've been reading up on Larry, the one with the wild hairdo: apparently he was a professional level boxer AND a superb concert violinist! His actual name was Larry Fine. Moe's name was Moe Howard, and Curly was Moe's younger brother, replacing their other brother, Shep, in the later years.
