I agree with mary - send the old carpet into the yard to do some good. Paths in the garden, whatever. I hate wall-to-wall carpets, they hold onto tons of dust and dirt, even if you clean them regularly.

Susie's surgery was delayed, she has an infection of some sort (according to the blood work). She is very disappointed at this delay, but she definitely doesn't need surgery with an infection. The result could be disastrous.

Rained overnight, so more delay until I can get into the garden. Where some of the potatoes are finally putting up tops. :)
