Back from the hospital -- desparately need that nap. (Appointment to get long needed haircut at 4:30, too -- chance to check out my new alarm clock.)

I'm a bit concerned about Tom's lethargy and weakness. Thought, too, that the left side of his mouth was drooping, but his nurse checked that out and it was probably just gravity as he was listing to that side. He was in a chair when I got there, he'd had physical therapy earlier and the occupational therapist (who was a bit of a klutz, repeatedly running into Tom's good foot) was there when I arrived.

I'm also worried because his voice is so much quieter than it was, even the last few days. So low I had trouble understanding him on the phone and when just in front of him.

He didn't sleep well last night and so was dozing off. We got him a bit more comfortable in the chair so he could sleep -- I guess he was just enough unsteady on his feet that his nurse didn't want to risk getting him back into bed right now.

Spring has exploded -- not only is it again in the 80s(F), but crocuses, forsythia, daffodils snapped into bloom overnight and the willows are greening up and all the other trees budded out. Saw a guy on a motorcycle with his dog in the sidecar, and half naked muscular young men in Dover lolling in the sun as if it were mid-summer.

Had a lovely conversation with the gentleman in the bed next to Tom (whom I disturbed with phone calls this morning -- last night they told me the wrong bed position in the room for Tom) and his wife. They're in somewhat the same boat -- waiting for an available space in rehab.

Right now I really have to get a bit of sleep.
