It's unbeautiful plywood underneath, and it isn't old - that's the problem. It's very new, only a couple of years old, I should think. And no staining or insect infestation or anything. Compared with other things in the room, like the damage to the wardrobe doors and the paint spills on them, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I don't have room in the garden to use it. I have thought about offering it to my neighbour who has an allotment.
