No, no, NO, Mary!

No way in fxxking hell would I ever even CONSIDER to be a manager for them! It's also impractical. The additional hourly wage is nowhere near enough to offset the requirements including having to work if someone calls out, having to work Saturdays, and having to work all the hours the doctor is there (which also messes up the best day for Tom to schedule medical appointments), and, the fairly decent chance of being flat out unable to take time off if Tom is having a medical issue...which seems to happen at least once a year if not more. It's much worse job than the one I'm in and, quite honestly, I'm burned out on retail and trying to escape it as fast as possible. Hint: three managers in less than four years, and our store is NOT the only store that is managerless right now. Tell you anything? No. It is NOT an option.

With my background, I'm looking at copyediting/proofreading, administrative assistant in real estate or medical office, or even driver for one of the lab companies or messenger services.

I think this trying to do everything at once, though, is what's giving me the low level panic attack. I look forward to a time when I can mono-task...
