I should clarify that last post. If you are in a hospital and you are given drugs, they are free. If you are not in a hospital, they are not free. Under any form of health insurance, the insurer pays a max of 80%. When my bro's prescription was filled after he was sent home from the hospital, it was $5000 total for 30 days. He lasted 4 months.
