I grew up eating ducks my uncles would shoot. They were nice about cleaning them before dropping them by. It wasn't bad eating, but you had to watch for the bird shot. That wasn't dangerous or anything, except for time my mother fixed cabbage with the duck and my brother swallowed some of the shot and blew a hole in his mattress after he went to bed that night.
