Thread Name: Origins: A Hundred Years from Now (Lester Flatt)
Subject: RE: Origins: A Hundred Years from Now (Lester Flatt)
The original Flatt and Scruggs recording listed Hein and Royle as the writers and gave the title as simply "A Hundred Years From Now." Strange on both counts. Firstly, Silvio Hein and Edwin Milton Royle wrote a number together with George V. Hobart, called "A Hundred Years From Now," which geatured in the 1905 musical, "Moonshine." However, the title normally associated with the Country number is "(I Won't Care) A Hundred Years From Now," so the label on the F&S Columbia release might just be record company laziness.

I'd love to see the sheet music for the musical number (sheets do exist) and also to hear the 1940 recording made by Bob Atcher and Bonnie Blue Eyes, or even just see a scan of their Conqueror 9595 release.

If anyone can help me in either of these wishes, please contact me at david at davidneale dot eu
