As well as the story of the woman who decanted petrol in her kitchen while the gas cooker was lit (with,sadly , predictably catastrophic results ) , is the account of an elderly lady who,despite lifting the rear hatch to hide her activities , was disvovered by garage staff to be filling 20 empty paint-tins and a tray full of jam jars with petrol to take home ! The mind boggles ,but then there must be some females out there who have no idea of how volatile petrol is , or indeed even how a petrol engine works .Time for another Ministry of Information film I think , although it's just been abolished (the MOI) ........just when it was really needed !
