Hello everyone! I have a house guest!! We have just spent two days of incredable banjo lusting..I picked Bonnie up at the Hartford airport and we went up to the Fretted Workshop in Amherst to look at Tony's collection of old and new banjos.. Ramsey's and Reiter's were struned all over the place.. My faverite was an old Fairbanks (Cole?) that just popped..There was a Ramsey student 12 " model worth seriuos thought as well.. It was interesting looking at the difference between an old instromant with such a particular "Voice " and some very good modern"Solid" banjos.
From there we forgot about lunch ( I had a chicken grinder worth forgeting Bonnie had water) and ran up to Lexington to look at The Music Emporium and all their incredable treasures.. I think I got cross-eyed from so many good instroments( And low blood sugar).. Today we ran down to Mandolin Bros. .. Stan was so nice to us.. After trying $20 or$30 thousand dollars worth of instroments and not buying anything he still gave us each a T shirt: what a g
