No the problem with this country is that all the loots in the hands of the same people who had it in the 16th century. they sit on the money and just put it where it will make them more loot. Not always in the interest of the country.

See Mary Portas's recent serial of programmes. Every week there someone weeping tears because of the death of the clothing industry and the relegating of the skilled workforce to idleness. The Tories watched and fucked over great companies like Viyella and celestion Wood where there was never any union problems.

I remember hearing two ladies who'd worked at Viyella saying how they could weep when they saw the crap quality that was on the shelves of marks and Sparks nowadays.
