Check out a book called Unmentionable Cuisine. It's recipes from all over the world using ingredients that are common in some countries but taboo in others. There's a recipe for Mice in Cream. It's French, but since they eat frogs and snails and those little bite sized birds, I'm not surprised that they'd eat mice.
