We set sail on January 12th...it's now 3rd april & we've crested 400 posts. Truly amazing. Truly amazing too, that Ann & I have been allowed to garner so many loyal & compassionate Friends. I'm feeling somewhat over-emotional as I type...had one of my own doctor's appointments this morning (muscle stuff that is annoying/irritating, but NOT life-threatening). Jane's situation came into the conversation & I broke down in the consulting room. My Doctor allowed me to sit there & take all the time I needed to settle myself. She sat there, calm & steady, not saying much, but what she did say was absolutely appropriate...kind, gentle words that calmed me. We over ran the allotted time considerably, but at no time did I get the feeling that my Doctor wanted me out. I could leave when I felt ok to do so. It's been quite a morning!
