The word Heritage, for me, carries some unfortunate connotations. It suggests to me the rather twee products that are sold in those ghastly "heritage" shops such as Past Times. No, "heritage" has nothing of the vibrancy that "tradition" or even "folk" brings. Let's not suggest that word for the title.

Those who suggest that the word English be removed may have more of a point. The Journals have been reporting non-English aspects of the tradition since their earliest days.

The phrase if it ain't broke, don't fix it comes to mind at a time when the EFDSS is doing better in virtually every way than it has been doing in the 40-odd years that I have been deeply interested in dance and song.
