Okay. I just talked to TOM again (less than a half hour after I talked to his nurse)...and he both SAYS he's getting better by the minute and he SOUNDS like it. He is now very aware both of what's happening right now and what WAS happening earlier.

I called because I needed to know if I needed to come to Portsmouth right away or not. Looks like it will be best if I wait until mid-afternoon. Our excursion in the car seems to be ruled out for today, at least.

I really sounds to me like a problem with meds... He says it was like he'd overslept and wasn't quite awake.
