(I've taken a 1925 ball bearing mastertone ,taken off the resonator and Flange, Put on a fiber head and a taller half moon bridge with wider string set up: Thank you to Tony at Fretted Instroments , Amherst).

So of course I didn't asks anyone if they had one when we were out and about.. But Mandolin bros DO have a 1926 coming back (We hope ) from a try out..I asked every heavey weight store owner:Stan, James & Tony if they thought I was nuts to transform a early Mastertone this way and I must say they were all very polite.( Of cource two of them are killer frailers).
