Have I been to the wrong sessions? Friday night at Hillsborough Hotel was very enjoyable but 3pm to 6pm Irish Session at the Grapes on the Saturday with a blind pianist playing anything but Irish was not what I expected, then 8pm to 11pm session at the Shakespeasre with no room for a session anywhere and no other musicians by 8.20pm, I and 2 friends who'd driven to Sheffield for an enjoyable Saturday then drove home having had very little enjoyment I'm afraid.
