Actually thinking about it, "wallpaper" seems to be slowly taking over from "chocolate box" for mundane art for much the same reason - a move away from the Kinkade-type twee cottages, woodland scenes, etc., on the box lids to more contemporary images and brand-designs like those Leeneia describes.
