He goes to the Lantern Society night at the Betsey Trotwood in London a lot. Part of a loose scene of musicians such as Trent Miller, Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou, Flameproof Moth, Josienne Clarke, Ben Folke Thomas, Jack Day and many more.

Of that bunch, I think Flameproof Moth (formerly known as the Boycott Coca Cola Experience) and Trent Miller are the most interesting acts.

Equally, of the same scene, I imagine Mudcatters would probably like what Josienne Clarke does more, it's more "proper folk":
